Waterproof storage for all your stuff

Catamaran building materials & tools
Outboard motor, motor mount, etc. (1 per cluster)
Gas: You'll use 1.3 to 2.5 gallons depending on motor efficiency, number of canoes, etc.
Lines for tie-up; PVC anchor (optional); Extra duct tape (per cluster)

Patio chairs for canoe (see tips)
Umbrellas (for sun protection--attach to chairs in canoe)
Bungee cords (10-12 per canoe. Fasten chairs, umbrellas, etc.)
Drink holders (make from plastic bottles. Tape to chair leg. Holds all your small stuff.)

"Stream Machine" water guns -- 24" or 36"
Floatables (inner tubes, etc.) & tow line. Can bring kayak or jet-ski
Red or orange "skier-down" flag (1 per cluster)

Common Stuff

Tent
Sleeping bags - lightweight? - check weather forecast for Blythe, CA
Air mattresses; Air pump & nozzles for mattresses & floatables (1 or 2 per cluster)

Cooler: "5-day" recommended. 50 quart or 2 smaller ones
Water & drinks: 3-4 quarts/person/day chilled - glass bad - foam cozies good
            3 quarts/person/day is plenty if keeping cool and low exertion
1 gallon of water reserve (not chilled) per 4-5 people
Food, food prep items, utensils...
Lantern/stove/coffee pot/charcoal/lighter (1 per cluster)

Camping items: flashlight, insect repellant, first aid kit, TP, etc.

Clothes: T-shirts, rash guard (Light colors or you'll bake). Lightweight sweatshirt
Swim suit, water shoes, towel
Sunscreen & lip protection
ID for US border patrol. Cash for shuttle driver

Optional Stuff

Comfortable life vest (basic life jackets are provided)
Camera: Older/inexpensive digital camera or waterproof camera
Bailing bucket for emergencies (1 per cluster)
GPS unit (to find landing spots, or if you're just a geek)
Binoculars
2-way radios
Fishing Pole/Tackle/License

          Outfitter will provide: Canoes, life jackets, and paddles
          Don't bring: expensive cameras or electronics that are unhappy when wet
           Cell phone service is mostly NOT available on the river.
